wheee, the syndicate.
i'm a graphic artist, been doing the thing and been around the digital art scene for over ten years now. i was previously with the long defunct art groups 'coulisse' and 'twistedmindz' later on i spent a stint with the group raster, and did a single release with breed before falling out of the scene for a time ( my period with breed was titled under the moniker 'omerta' )
i'm back now, trying to get myself intot he swing of things and sort of going headlong into the matter. i've never been a huge fan of the generalized artgroups, including all those i was with, it was very form fitting and overall, dysfunctional, everyone got played off as an elitist and generally turned into one as well, something that always bothered me. i've done this for like i said, over ten years, over that time i went through 3d rendering, Abstract, Grunge, Tag Art ( which i've been doing over twelve years ), and now, CG/Illustrative/Vector Art ( without a vector program ) at some point during everyone one of those changes in style, i resumed the position of newbie in my form, and it's always been the pro's who've helped me out and along.
so, i'm working with some friends here in the scene to round up some good artists ( not jsut the elite ) to put together a MediaGroup, known as "theSyndicate" which is located at syns.org. the essence of the group is a diversification of the standard art group as we see it today, and more. we're aiming to push people's talents to the forefront, as well as to bring them to the attention of people who may want to utilize their services ( and pay for it. ) this includes getting the musicians of the group signed to labels, the writers signed to publishers or magazines, however they aim themselves, and of course, pushing every artist towards their hopeful future... instead of just being a means to kill time, we want to present the work of our members ( and guests, as every release will feature guests ) in a professional and dynamic manner, sometihng appealing not to jsut the layman users who are looking for good art to drool over, but for people seeking someone to hire.
another important factor to it, we're aiming for cross platform collaboration, we want all the different groups ( traditional art, digital art, music, literary, photography, coders/flash designers ) to find ways to work with eachother on projects, it shows an ability to do dynamic creativity, something that's becomming more and more important in time, amongst this market.
those interested can contact me, we're looking for anyone in the above fields, particularly coders, flash, traditional and music.
